O Σδρόλιας Νικόλαος γεννήθηκε το 1978, είναι Διπλωματούχος Ηλεκτρολόγος Μηχανικός και Μηχανικός Υπολογιστών της Πολυτεχνικής Σχολής του Α.Π.Θ. και κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος στον Αυτόματο Έλεγχο Συστημάτων του πανεπιστημίου Sheffield του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου.

Διαθέτει εργασιακή εμπειρία στην εταιρία Intracom ως Μηχανικός R&D στο τμήμα τροφοδοτικών διατάξεων, Siemens ως Μηχανικός ανάπτυξης λογισμικού, Philip Morris-Παπαστράτος ως Προϊστάμενος του τμήματος Ηλεκτρολόγων του τμήματος Συντήρησης και Έργων. Από το 2010 είναι συνιδιοκτήτης εταιρίας Βιομηχανικών και Κτιριακών Αυτοματισμών και έχει διατελέσει εργαστηριακός συνεργάτης του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίας σε μαθήματα Ηλεκτρονικών Υπολογιστών, Προγραμματισμού, Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης.

Τα επιστημονικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στα πεδία του Αυτοματισμού (PLC, Scada, Inverter, HMI), Ρομποτικής, Ευφυών Συστημάτων, Πρωτόκολλα επικοινωνιών, Αναλογικών/Ψηφιακών Ηλεκτρονικών, Embedded συστημάτων και Προγραμματισμού.

Sdrolias Nikolaos was born in 1978, holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University and a Masters Degree in Control Systems from the University of Sheffield UK.

He has work experience in company Intracom as Engineer R&D in the Power Supply department, Siemens as a software engineer, Philip Morris-PAPASTRATOS as Head of Electrical Section of Maintenance and Engineering Division. Since 2010 he is co-owner of a company in the Industrial and Building Automation field and he has been a lab assistant of Thessaly TEI in Computer courses, Programming, Artificial Intelligence.

His research interests lie in the areas of Automation (PLC, Scada, Inverter, HMI), Robotics, Intelligent Systems, Communications protocols, Analog / Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems and Programming.

His research interests lie primarily in the fields of electrical consumers modelling, demand side management and energy policy. He has participated in research projects run by the Electric Power Division of A.U.T.H. During the periods 2007-2009 and 2010-2013 he has been a member of Permanent Committee of Energy of the Technical Chamber of Greece, Section of Central Macedonia.

He has authored 29 scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, The Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Council on Large Electric Systems.
